James T. Detmer is responsible for business development for Alaric Compliance, focusing on referral groups and centers of influence to promote the sale of Alaric’s compliance services to Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), Registered Investment Companies (RICs), hedge funds, and mutual funds.
Mr. Detmer has been in the financial services industry for 28 years, with experience in the manufacturing, regulation, and distribution of financial products through intermediaries. He held senior positions at Lord, Abbett & Co.; HSBC; and JPMorgan, where, as Managing Director of JPMorgan Asset Management, he was in charge of the firm’s multi-billion-dollar broker-dealer distribution business.
Mr. Detmer is a regular participant on industry committees and panels, selected for his in-depth knowledge of sophisticated financial products and distribution channels. He holds securities licenses 6, 7, 63, 65, and 24. He received a BA from Colgate University, where he was a George Cobb Fellow.
